Plans & Services

Who is it for?

InteractiveMD is for everyone ages 6 and up, regardless pre-existing conditions. However, a parent or legal guardian must consult with a network doctor on behalf of a child under the age of 18. Please visit our plans page to see and compare the various options and features. We have plans for individuals, couples, families, large groups and employers. Whoever you are, InteractiveMD has an affordable solution for your healthcare needs.

What do you treat?

In some cases, a visit to the doctor's office can be avoided, saving time and money. As a complement to primary care, our goal is to make sure you’re equipped with all the tools and resources you need to reduce the cost and frequency of in-person consultations. Part of that effort involves the delivery of care for a comprehensive list of common conditions by qualified physicians via phone or email.

How much does it cost?

We have a range of plans to choose from; the price varies depending on the number of people you'd like to have covered and the level of the plan you select. To determine the cost of your membership and consultations, please visit Our Plans page and select either an individual, couple or family plan. The features and benefits of each plan level will be displayed in a table below, giving you all the information you need to make the right selection for your needs and budget.

How do I enroll?

Go to Our Plans page to select a plan and create your account. We offer a range of plans. Read about the features and benefits of each so that you’re sure to select one that meets your needs and budget. Once you’ve made your selection, we’ll need to collect some information from you to establish your account and health history. It's fast, easy, and after the short process is complete, you will be able to schedule appointments by phone or through our easy on-line scheduling tool.

Usage

When should I use it?

Doctors can be hard to reach, illnesses can occur in the middle of the night, and sometimes you just have a question that doesn’t require an in-person consultation. In all of those circumstances, InteractiveMD is a convenient solution. Our telehealth service is an always-accessible complement to primary care.

What if I have a medical emergency?

If you believe you need emergency medical attention, call 911 immediately.

Should I use InteractiveMD instead of seeing a doctor?

Our telehealth service is a complement to primary care, not a replacement. However, there are many times when an in-person visit is not necessary. In fact, some studies have shown that up to 70% of in-person consultations are not necessary.

What if I have a pre-existing condition?

We accept all patients regardless of pre-existing conditions. Under no circumstances will you be denied, and you will never be asked to pay higher membership or consultation fees as a result of your past medical history.

When are the doctors available?

We have network physicians standing by to consult with you day or night, 365 days a year. Our goal is to make sure you never go without care when you need it.

Consultation Process

Do I need to schedule an appointment?

It depends on the type of consultation. For simple medical advice, you can contact us right away and speak to someone who can help. For more complicated diagnostic consultations, including those that may require a prescription, an appointment will need to be scheduled prior to speaking with a network physician.

How do I schedule a consultation?

Once you've created an account, scheduling a consultation is easy. Simply login to your account and click on the tab labeled "Connection Center." There you'll have the option to choose the type of consultation you require. For diagnostic consultations, you'll be prompted to select a date and time from the available slots on the scheduling calendar. If you'd prefer to schedule by phone, simply call 1-888-866-7909.

What type of consultations do you offer?

Consultations can be conducted via phone, videoconference, and secure email.

Are consultations available in all 50 states?

Yes, consultations are available in all 50 states (except in OK & MI) via phone and email. However, videoconferencing is currently unavailable in AK, CT, DE, IA, MI, MN, MO, NV, NH, NM, OK, OR, RI, SD, VT, WV, WY. If you live in one of these states and wish to engage in a video consultation, please check back with us soon. We are working hard to expand our network and include your state as soon as possible. Physicians

Who are the doctors?

At InteractiveMD, we're committed to providing you with quality care. This commitment applies to all the aspects of your member experience, but it begins with who we select as our caregivers. That's why we've partnered with the Telemedicine Consulting Network, LLC., a cutting edge organization of medical professionals specializing in telehealth. This organization has established a rigorous screening and credential verification process for each and every physician applicant, ensuring they meet the highest standards of qualification. All network doctors are U.S.-based and fully licensed.

Do you verify the doctors' credentials?

Yes. Each and every doctor in the physician network is credentialed through VerifPoint, an independent and NCQA certified credentials verification company.

How do I join the physician network?

As the field has gained mainstream acceptance within the healthcare community, patient demand for telehealth is reaching a heightened level. To meet this growing demand, InteractiveMD is expanding through incremental recruitment of strong physician candidates to our partner physician network. We welcome qualified, licensed physicians who are interested to contact the Telehealth Consulting Network to learn more. Current expertise in telehealth practice isn’t necessary for application. Network physicians and InteractiveMD staff prepare doctors extensively on our telehealth platform, providing technical training and instruction on differentiating aspects of practicing telehealth. Go to our Physicians page to learn more and submit your application.

Prescriptions

Can I get a prescription?

Our goal is to make sure all your health needs are met. If you consult with a network doctor who determines that a prescription medication will be a necessary part of your treatment, they’ll promptly call in your prescription to the pharmacy of your choosing. All you have to do is stop by and pick it up. There are, of course, some restrictions. All prescription medication will be limited in accordance with your state’s regulations. Network physicians will not issue prescriptions for drugs on the DEA controlled substances list. Click here for a list of DEA controlled substances.

Insurance

Is this Insurance?

No. InteractiveMD is a cutting edge technology platform that connects you the patient with expert telehealth physicians who can diagnose, treat, and consult on a wide variety of common medical and health conditions.

Do I need insurance to use this service?

No. Whether you have insurance coverage or not, the power of the InteractiveMD platform is available to you. Depending on the membership plan you have selected, the consultation fee varies, so check the Our Plans page to see the cost of consulting with a network doctor.

If I have insurance will it cover my InteractiveMD consultation?

Coverage will depend on your specific insurance plan details. InteractiveMD is not insurance and insurance coverage is not required to participate or access the system; however, if you are insured, any lab tests or prescriptions ordered as a result of your telehealth consultation may be covered depending on your specific coverage. Also, several states are now mandating that insurance companies cover telehealth services. Check with your insurance provider for details.
